Ballerina Cupcake Cake

ballet cake

I am seriously IN LOVE with this cupcake cake (the top princess one). I must have something similar for my daughter’s first birthday. Her theme is going to be ballerina so I found the pic of the second cake to hopefully make some adjustments. What do you guys think? Can I (okay, I’m not anywhere near this talented. So every time I say I just insert my mom instead.) make this look more ballerina like while keeping it crazy cute?

Any other ballerina ideas for me? Her birthday isn’t until the end of October so I have a bit of planning time. But I also have a fairly small house so I’m open to suggestions on where to have said party as well.

  1. I’m trying to send you a pic of cake I did for my Gr’daughters’ ‘pink ballerina cake’ that she insisted on having, but can’t seem to figure it out. But I stacked 2 rounds & used fondant for ‘Angelina Ballerina’ character on the top & star tipped the entire cake around her. (Pink of course!) but before I did the cake, I made a ‘tutu’ & glued in between two cardboard cake rounds so the cake had it’s very own tutu! Also made pink cake pops dipped in sprinkles & they also had pink punch to go with it! And of course both of my Grands (5 & 3) wore their own tutu s for the party!! The cake was huge but oh so adorable!!

  2. I emailed you a couple of pics (just couldn’t copy them to here).
I LOVE this ‘princess cupcake dress’ as well! Sooo cute!! And I will probably be making one similar to it in yellow, as I have already gotten my Gr’daughters’ request for a ‘Belle’ cake for her Nov birthday!!
Have a blast with your daughters first birthday!!

  3. I was wonder how I can get directions on what tips to buy and how to make the princess cup cake cake?

  4. Hi Brenda! I honestly have no idea how to make the cakes. I found the images on Pinterest with no links that lead anywhere. I’m hoping to have my mom make something similar soon. So I will update with all the info I can get. 🙂
