Reading: I Can’t Survive Without It – Plus, Kindle Book Deals

Posted by on Jan 19, 2017
I LOVE to read!! I read every day. I absolutely adore books. They can take you to a whole new world. They can expand your horizons, raise your hopes, or feed your fears. They can make you laugh or cry or both. Sometimes in the same paragraph. There is nothing better than a “can’t put it down, stay up way too late” good book.
My all time favorite author is Orson Scott Card. I own most of his books and love reading them. He is a fantastic writer. His imagination is amazing. My favorite book by him is Enchantment. It’s a retelling of Sleeping Beauty. So good! I’ve read it lots of times and I’m sure I will read it many more. But, while Orson Scott Card is my favorite author my favorite book of all time is The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley.

I remember that my very favorite book as a child was Harry and the Terrible Whatzit. I had to buy a copy when I had kids because no one could find my old one. That’s the only specific book I can remember from being young, but I’m sure there were lots. I’ve always loved reading.
As a youth I loved mystery novels. I read a lot of R.L. Stine books.
Now I love everything. My favorite type of books are Science Fiction and Fantasy. But I love most everything! I also have a bit of an obsession with Vampire books. I’ve read a LOT of them! Some of them are good, while some are not. I’m open to reading pretty much anything other than horror. I find that the older I get the more of a wuss I am. I have also really been loving mysteries lately. The Girl on the Train was amazing.
I’d love to hear your favorite book so I can add it to my list of things to read!
And make sure to check out the Kindle book Deals going on now! I absolutely love the free and cheap books from Amazon. Download them and read them when you have time. If they suck, who cares? Plus, there are a lot of good ones out there. You might just find your next favorite series or author.

  1. Have you read The Wheel of Time series? My husband loves those so I’ve started reading them. I loved The Giver and Madeleine L’Engle growing up. I still prefer juvenile fiction because I like clean reads.
